Validity of Subsequent Marriage Registrations Following Divorce

Article 8. And they registered their marriage at the Bang Rak district on February 14, 2539. Both parties knew that the two individuals had been living together, but did not know that the two individuals had already registered their marriage, so they went to register their marriage to be correct. The two individuals then went to register their marriage again at the Bangna district on March 20, 2539. Mr. Nueang and Ms. Nong finally agreed to divorce, going to register the divorce at the district on May 30, 2540. Subsequently, Mr. Nueang registered his marriage with Ms. Nit in August 2540 1. Let it be determined whether the marriage registration of Mr. Nueang with Ms. Nit in August 2540 is complete according to law. If the divorce registration on May 30, 2540, Mr. Nueang and Ms. Nong notified the Director of the Bangplad District 2540 to record in the contract book, which included a statement by the Registrar stating that the marriage had been registered and both parties agreed to divorce in one way or another, as follows:
The marriage registration on February 14, 2539.
2. The marriage registration on March 20, 2539.
3. The first marriage registration of Mr. Nueang and Ms. Nit had effect, complete according to law, even though there was a subsequent repeated marriage registration. The second marriage registration was not a registration of marriage, but a repeated marriage registration which had no effect, as the Civil and Commercial Code Section 1452 stipulates that there is no effect of being complete according to law. The Civil and Commercial Code Section 1511 stipulates that due to death, divorce, or a court order to annul the divorce, the marriage registration between Mr. Nueang and Ms. Nit, both times, terminates. This is regardless of whether the divorce registration specified which marriage it was from. Once the divorce registration of Mr. Nueang and Ms. Nong at the Bangna district terminated the marriage of the two individuals, the marriage registration of Mr. Nueang and Ms. Nit on August 1, 2540 is complete according to the Civil and Commercial Code.
