Misrepresentation of a Pawn Ticket Results in Theft


Article 8. Mr. Chok purchased trousers from one shop. He found a pawn ticket for a watch in his trousers pocket, so he took the ticket to redeem the watch, which Mr. Chok then possessed. Mr. Chok is liable for theft because the pawn ticket came into the possession of Mr. Chok through misrepresentation, pursuant to Section 352, Paragraph 2 of the Thai Commercial Code. Mr. Sin took wire, which was previously wrapped around the warehouse of that shop, and then used that wire.
