Article 9.

The prosecutors, like other citizens, are entitled to freedom of belief, association, and assembly, in particular, they shall have the right to participate in discussions concerning matters relating to the law, the administration of justice, and the promotion and protection of human rights, including participation in or the establishment of local, national, or international organizations and participation in meetings of such organizations. In exercising these rights, prosecutors shall maintain membership in a lawful organization, and shall always conduct themselves in accordance with the standards and ethics of their profession.

With regard to the prosecutors, they have to conform to the ethical code of the public Thai public prosecutors. The code requires honesty, integrity, fairness, thoroughness, transparency, independence, and without political, social, religious, or any other kind of discrimination. Furthermore, prosecutors and their family members shall not take any gift or any kind of return for carrying out their duties.
